Islamic Relief

Inspired by Islamic faith and values, Islamic Relief have been able to reach over 2 million refugees in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq, while supporting tens of thousands of refugees across Europe, providing Ramadan food packs, healthcare and much more.


Christian Aid

Christian Aid helps refugees in Greece and Serbia, and continues to work in the Middle East to support displaced Syrians and Iraqis by providing essentials such as beds, mattresses and hygiene kits.



Muslim Hands

Muslim Hands has been responding to emergencies since 1993 and aims to serve the most vulnerable people by addressing the causes of poverty and empower communities.

Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI)

Churches Together promotes commitment by each church and denomination to deepen its fellowship with others and enables collaboration between churches, as well as co-ordinates the work they each do separately.



Muslim Aid

Muslim Aid is sending teams to provide humanitarian need in Europe and other affected areas and works towards sustainable development for the refugees.


CAFOD is the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and part of Caritas International. They are directly supporting Caritas Greece and Caritas Serbia, who are providing food, water, shelter, weather-proof and warm clothing and sleeping bags to thousands of refugees.


Al Khair Foundation

Al-Khair Foundation is a UK-based international NGO established in 2003 and has provided humanitarian aid to refugees in Greece, on the northern and southern borders of Macedonia, in Serbia, Slovenia and Austria.


The World Council of Churches 

The WCC is a fellowship of churches which aim to engage in Christian service by serving humanity, breaking down barriers between people, seeking justice and peace, and upholding the integrity of people.

Medicins Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders (MSF)

MSF help people worldwide where the need is greatest, delivering emergency medical aid to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare. MSF works around the world to provide refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) with everything they need from psychological care to lifesaving nutrition.

Avid Detention work to raise awareness of immigration detention and advocate for positive change in the detention system.

Bail for Immigration Detainees Bail for Immigration Detainees  exists to challenge immigration detention in the UK by working with asylum seekers and migrants, in removal centres and prisons, to secure their release.
British Red Cross Refugee Service


The Red Cross supports refugees in a wide variety of ways, from providing emergency humanitarian aid to those facing severe hardship to providing social and emotional support. 


Bryson One Stop Service (Belfast) Bryson One Stop Service offers advice and support to destitute Asylum Seekers while they apply for assistance through the new NASS (National Asylum Support Service) provisions.
Churches Refugee Network The Churches’ Refugee Network (CRN) aims to provide a representative voice for Christian Churches on issues of asylum and immigration.
City of Sanctuary (includes many local groups) 


City of Sanctuary aims to create a network of towns and cities throughout the UK and Ireland which are proud to be places of safety for people seeking sanctuary by helping them integrate into their local communities.

Detention Action


Detention Action support people held in Harmondsworth and Colnbrook Immigration Removal Centres, near Heathrow Airport in London, and people held under immigration powers in London prisons. 

Freedom from Torture



Freedom from Torture  is the only service dedicated solely to the treatment of survivors of torture and organised violence who arrive in the UK as refugees and asylum seekers, as well as striving to protect and promote their rights. 

Fuze - Beyond Borders


Fuze Beyond Borders aims to bring together refugees and British volunteers by providing refugee camps with nutritional aid as well as motivational and educational activities.

International Action for Iraqi Refugees


IAIR exists to help displaced Iraqi refugees and aims at assisting needy Iraqis by providing sustenance, health support, education support, and information services.

International Care Network


ICN is based in the Bournemouth area and is a charity which provides a warm welcome for members of the refugee and migrant communities, and helps them to overcome obstacles in settling here.

Jesuit Refugee Service


JRS programmes are found in 50 countries, providing emergency assistance, healthcare and social services to refugees in camps and cities, individuals displaced within their own countries, asylum seekers and to those held in detention centres.

JCORE works to provide a Jewish voice on Race and Asylum issues through engaging the Jewish Community in social action in the wider society, focussing on race equality and justice for refugees and asylum seekers. 

Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants



JCWI is an independent national charity which exists to campaign for justice in immigration, nationality and refugee law and policy,  producing written materials such as high quality briefings for parliamentarians, campaigners and activists..

Latin American Womens Rights Service


LAWR is a feminist and human rights organisation that has been working with Latin American women in the UK since 1983 in order to protect mogrant worker's rights and promote social change.

 MRCIstrives to tackle the root causes of inequality by taking a community approach with a focus on participation, leadership and empowerment, and have a strong track record in securing policy changes – including the criminalisation of forced labour.

 NICRAS is the only refugee led organisation in Northern Ireland that represents the interests of the refugee community, raises awareness of the issues faced and support the integration of refugees and sylum seekers in society.

QARN works to change the way that refugees and asylum seekers are treated, to ensure that justice and compassion are the guiding principles.

The Refugee Council work with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK by offering practical support and advice throughout their journey in the UK as well as a helping hand to empower them to rebuild their lives.

RSN works with young people affected by displacement and crisis, enabling them to access, remain and progress in education at all stages of their migration journey. 

Refugee Survival Trust (Scotland)


The Refugee Survival Trust is a charity that provides grants to asylum claimants and refugees living in Scotland in order to alleviate poverty or help in accessing education and employment opportunties.

René Cassin


René Cassin makes human rights relevant for Jewish people, and provides a vehicle through which they can speak out against violations.

Room to Heal


Room to Heal aims to enable people who have experienced torture and other forms of organised violence to heal from their traumatic experiences, find renewed meaning in life, and successfully integrate into the UK.

Safe Passage UK



Safe Passage UK is made up of a group of volunteer lawyers, interpreters and refugee charity specialists who have set up a process so that those who have a good legal right to claim asylum in the UK may do so. 

Salusbury World


Salusbury World aim  to support and empower refugee and migrant children, young people and families to overcome obstacles, realise their rights and potential and participate fully in society.

Scottish Refugee Council


A team of caseworkers in the Refugee Integration Service works with new refugees and family members of refugees reunited in Scotland to assist them in integrating into the country. 

Shpresa Programme


Significant numbers of Albanian-speaking people from Albania , Kosova and Macedonia fled persecution from the early 1990s.  Shpresa programme advances the education and training of the Albanian speaking people in the UK to enable them to take full and active roles in their communities. 

Student Action for Refugees (STAR Network)


STAR is made up of over 30 groups at universities across the UK and works at over 40 refugee charities providing much needed assistance, including English conversation and homework clubs, drop-ins, and also campaign to preserve the rights of refugees. 

Support Refugees


Support Refugees offers a number of ways you can provide practical help to refugees and asylum seekers both in the UK and abroad, through donating, campaigning and volunteering.

The Separated Child Foundation


Aims to offer emotional, social, financial and physical support to separated children and young people and to engage in educational activities that raise awareness of the needs of separated children and young people, including refugees and asylum seekers, so to encourage positive responses to them.

UK Action for Refugees

Women Asylum Seekers Together


WAST provides a safe and secure women only space and a source of support for each other, both social and emotional. 

Women for Refugee Women


Women Asylum Seekers Together London is an open and inclusive group made up of women who have sought asylum in the UK and offers asylum seekers a weekly drop in, yoga, English classes, lunch and opportunities for women to become engaged with campaigning with Women for Refugee Women. 

Women Seeking Sanctuary Advocacy Group - Wales (WSSAG)


WSSAG is a group where refugee women can meet at fortnightly drop-ins and learn from one another, share experiences and make new friends.
