The United Society is an Anglican mission agency that has been in operation for more than 300 years, resourcing Anglican churches around the world. Today we work in direct partnership with churches in over 50 countries supporting grassroots community development and empowerment, leadership training, health in remote areas, education, advocacy and much more

We are hosting the Annual European Meeting of PROCMURA: Programme for Christian-Muslim Relations in Africa over the weekend 22-24 January 2016. We have supported this organisation since its inception in 1959. The current Chair is Archbishop Dr Josiah Idowu-Fearon, who has recently been appointed Secretary General of the Anglican Communion Worldwide based in London. The groups who support PROCMURA are by and large well-established churches, or global charities/ngos with a Christian foundation, each with a commitment to furthering relations of mutual respect and dialogue between different faiths.

The Annual European Meeting of PROCMURA will begin with a public event on Friday 22nd January from 4.30 – 6.30 at the Royal Foundation of St Katharine’s, 2 Butcher Row, E14 8DS London. The opening address of the public event will be from Revd Dr Johnson Mbillah, General Advisor of PROCMURA highlighting issues related to Christian-Muslim relations on the continent of Africa.
